    Automotive Computers

Cars today have several Computers which tell different sections of the car what to do. So when an item in your vehicle isn’t working like it should the computers are the first to know. At ACDC we are able to Diagnose all Electronic Fuel Injection Systems, Engine Management Systems, Anti-Lock Braking Systems, Traction Control Systems, Air-Bag Systems, Transmissions and Body/Chassis functions with ElectraJet and EcuXpert. We have several high-end scanners to interrogate the on board systems of all cars. ACDC have an on site testing centre for all Automotive Computers, Injectors and Electronic Modules. Our Mainline DynoLog 2WD, 4WD, AWD Dynomometer has unrivalled diagnostic capacity to determine the best operating condition for your car.

Oil is the lifeblood of your engine. It reduces friction, lessens wear, provides lubrication, forms a seal between the pistons, rings and cylinder walls while helping to cool engine parts. Without the cleaning action of new oil, carbon and varnish buildup would be toxic to the engine. And engine oil even dampens the shock and noise of moving parts.

Fast and Accurate ECU Testing Service
While you’re there, let us perform a Touch® Courtesy Check, which includes a visual check of the following items:
    • Engine air filter
    • Brake fluid
    • Power steering fluid
    • Automatic transmission fluid
    • Coolant/antifreeze

    FAQ

How long will it take to complete the service or repair?

As the type of service or repair to be undertaken varies, so does the time required for each type of service or repair.

However, here at ACDC, we advise our customers of the estimated time necessary to complete the service or repair being undertaken. To achieve this, we rely on “Standard Times” to give our customers a more accurate “Estimate” of the time required.

We use the comprehensive “Solera Autodata” database for these “Estimates”.

We also keep customers informed of progress and advise if there are delays.

How Long will the diagnosis on my vehicle take?

When it comes to fault diagnosis, there is no “Magic Bullet”, we advise our customers most standard type cases are completed within 1 hour.

However, this is not always possible with the complexity of modern motor vehicles.

If the diagnosis is unable to be completed within 1 hour, this means the fault or faults are much more complex.

Under those circumstances we will contact you with advice on how to proceed.

    How Much will it cost?

Here at ACDC, we always advise our customers of our “Hourly Labour Rate”, which is clearly stated on our “Service, Repair or Diagnosis Agreement each customer must sign.

We use a “Bundy Clock” clocking on and off to give an accurate record of labour time taken.

This combined with our “Hourly Labour Rate” allows the correct calculation of the “Total Labour Cost”.

The type of service, repair or diagnosis needed varies, therefore, the cost for each type of service, repair or diagnosis also varies.

However, at ACDC we advise customers of the estimated time/cost to complete the service, repair or diagnosis being undertaken.

We also keep customers informed of progress, advising them of any delays or possible further works before proceeding.

Is there a charge to check out my car?

Yes, just like everyone else we need to be paid for what we do, otherwise we cannot pay our staff, or maintain a viable business.

We use a bundy clock for all service, repair or diagnosis. You will only be charged for the time that we spend either servicing, repairing or diagnosing your vehicle.

Is there a charge to check out my car?

If your car is not running normally; our advice is to arrange an appointment to have the vehicle inspected so the cause of the poor running is diagnosed.

We all know, a poor running vehicle is costing you additional money to operate.

Do I need an appointment for a service, repair or diagnosis?

Yes. We are usually 5-10 working days in advance with our bookings.

However, if you have an urgent or safety related problem, we will give you priority, this has been a core part of our business policy for over 50 years.

Please give us a call. We really want to help!

Sending an email? We will get back to you ASAP.  It is our practice to reply within 1 working day to discuss your needs and arrange an appointment.

What Credit cards do we accept?

We accept Mastercard, Visa and American Express Credit Cards.
